Installed in 1920, the Ross Park carousel features sixty jumping horses, four-abreast; two chariots (one with monkeys) and an original fifty-one key Wurlitzer Military Band Organ. Rides are available for free from 10:00 am – 4:45 pm every day from Memorial Day – Labor Day.

From snacks to a full meal, make the Leopard’s Spot Snack Shack a part of your trip to the Ross Park Zoo! Food and drink offerings are available during select hours.

As you exit the zoo, stop into our gift shop! From t-shirts, to adorable plush animals, the Zoovenirs Gift Shop has an assortment of souvenirs to remember your latest Ross Park Zoo trip!

Our docents love to educate! If you’re lucky, you may catch an impromptu animal spotlight put on by our dedicated volunteers. Spotlights are unscheduled, and based on volunteer availability.
