Founded in 1875, Ross Park Zoo is the fifth oldest zoological institution in the United States. Initially donated by businessman Erastus Ross, it has evolved from a recreational area into a hub for wildlife conservation and education.
Accessibility:
While we value inclusivity, please note that the terrain within the zoo, with its hilly and occasionally steep areas, may present challenges for those with limited mobility. We are committed to assisting visitors to the best of our abilities.
2024 Renovations:
Please be aware that for the 2024 season, the carousel is closed for renovations.
The Ross Park Zoo offers daily animal viewing hours from 10 am to 4 pm, with the last admission at 3 pm. Please note that the zoo is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and periodically closes for inclement weather.
Campus Location:
Ross Park Zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road, Binghamton, NY 13903 and shares its campus with the Discovery Center of the Southern Tier. Please note that while we share a campus, Ross Park Zoo and the Discovery Center are not affiliated in any way.
Parking:
There are several parking options available on campus. For the closest parking lot to the zoo entrance, we recommend looking for a spot in the zoo gift shop parking lot.
